A Beginner's Guide to Mosaic Art Grouting
Grouting is the final magic step in mosaic crafting that binds all your glass and ceramic pieces together into a unified, beautiful artwork.
First, let your mosaic glue dry completely for at least 24 hours. Once the tiles are firmly in place, mix your grout powder with a small amount of water until it reaches a toothpaste-like consistency.
Spread the grout paste evenly across your mosaic surface, pressing it firmly into the gaps between the tiles. Use a sponge or spatula to scrape off any excess grout.
Let it set for 20-30 minutes until it looks hazy. Then, gently wipe the surface with a damp sponge to clean the tile faces, being careful not to wash away the grout from the gaps.
Finally, after another 2 hours, buff the mosaic tiles with a dry microfiber cloth to polish the glass/ceramic and reveal their vibrant colors!
